The hole in the stock is quite often found in LG11 (Lang-Gewehr 11 - Long-Rifle 11) and before, rarely in K11 (Karabiner 11 - Carbine 11) and later. I have a G11 and a K31 that are next in line to be cleaned up and researched. I look forward to learning as much as I can about Swiss rifles. What does the number on the bottom of the barrel mean? It is suspicious because it has the same digits as the serial number but they are reordered. There is another number on the bottom of the barrel. I have also read that the B.82 is a barrel "lot" number. I have seen posts that indicate the B.82 is the rebuild or barrel replacement date, but (19)82 makes no sense. The bottom of the barrel has a SIG stamp and a rectangle with B.82 inside. I read that it is normal for the rear sight serial numbers to not match the rest of the rifle. It has the "heart" stamp that shows up sometimes It has no numbers or dates that indicate an arsenal rebuild It has "P" below the receiver serial number with no date The serial numbers font on the barrel and receiver appear to be identical. The magazine because it was missing when I bought it. The Front stacking hook/barrel band that has a single digit, but not the last digit of the serial number. However, I have searched and read as many posts as I can find concerning K11 markings and I am still not clear on three items.
